In this tutorial you will learn how to create a special effect background wash with salt and snowflakes with white gouache or a white gel pen.

Materials used:
100% Cotton watercolor paper - cold pressed
Professional quality watercolor paints (I'm using different blue colors, but you can also use 1 blue color)
Flat synthetic brush and a round brush size 6 or 8
Salt (e.g. sea salt)
White gel pen or white gouache
Optional: masking tapes
